VS Medical Trust takes your privacy seriously and treats all financial information about any transaction you have with the Foundation as highly confidential. In addition, VS Medical Trust does not share e-mail addresses or phone numbers of any of our donors or constituents.
The Trust deeply values all contributions to sustain our mission. To protect the privacy of our donors and their special relationship with VS Medical Trust, we maintain the following policies:
- Payment Gateway: If you are making donations through the payment gateway, you understand that the payment gateway is provided by a third party and governed by the terms and conditions provided by such third party. You are liable in the event you violate any of the terms and conditions of such third party in making your donations. VS Medical Trust shall not be responsible for any such errors or default in making your donations.
- Tax Exemption Certificates: You are requested to go through the tax exemption details displayed in the content of every cause before you make the donation. VS Medical Trust shall will ensure that it will send applicable tax exemption certificates to you within reasonable time limits.
- Before making any donation, you are required to fill up all the mandatory information in the membership form. This information will be used for further communication in terms of tax exemption certificates, feedback reports etc. and also note that this is required as per Government of India order to record all the information about the donors
- You acknowledge that all information on member profile has been entered by or on behalf of you are true to the best of your knowledge. VS Medical Trust shall take reasonable steps to maintain the confidentiality of such information. However, VS Medical Trust does not assume any liability in case of any direct or indirect loss, injury, claim, liability or damages of any kind whatsoever arising on account of divulgence of such personal information by the visitor. By accepting this Agreement, You agree that you are responsible for all information provided and subsequent activities carried by you on the website until you close such account or we terminate your account in accordance with the provisions of this agreement. VS Medical Trust retains the right to suspend or terminate your account without any further notice, due to reasons including but not limited to the following:
- breach or violate of these Terms or other VS Medical Trust agreements or guidelines,requests by law enforcement or other government agencies,
- a request by you,
- unexpected technical issues or problems or,
- extended periods of inactivity.
- Termination of your VS Medical Trust account includes removal of access to all offerings within the VS Medical Trust and may also bar you from further use of the VS Medical Trust. Furthermore, you agree that all terminations shall be made at VS Medical Trust’s sole discretion and that VS Medical Trust shall not be liable to neither you nor any third party for any termination of your account.
- We do not trade or sell your personal information with other organizations.
- We offer donors the option to be recognized anonymously.
- Donors may request, at any time, to not receive our solicitations.
- Donors may request to not receive certain mailings, such as our newsletter.
- We do not track, collect or distribute personal information entered by those who visit our website.
- Personal data collected through our website is encrypted using 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) technology.
- Personal information stored in the VS Medical Trust database is protected with a secured login with authentication, assignment of a unique ID to each person with computer access, regular pass code changes, and user IDs are deactivated or terminated as needed.
- Our hosting data server provides data protection meeting PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), encrypted communication via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology, intrusion detection for all devices and network nodes, state-of-the-art firewall infrastructure that detects malicious application attacks, virus protection, network load balancing devices via Citrix, and patch management, security and vulnerability monitoring and tracking, and SQL server attack protection via applications to detect SQL Injection and Cross Site Scripting Attacks.
- To assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the not-for-profit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we assure the following:
- To be informed of the Trust’s mission, of the way the Trust intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
- The donations should be used only for the purpose of supporting the activities of VS Medical Trust and its beneficiaries.
- To be informed of the identity of those serving on the Trust’s governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its responsibilities.
- To have access to the Trust’s most recent financial statements.
- To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.
- To be assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
- To expect that all relationships with individuals representing the Trust to the donor will be professional.
- To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.
- To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that the Trust may intend to share.
- To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
