Pain Management

Generally, in the early stages, pain is not a symptom of cancer, with the exception of bone primary tumours. When cancer progresses and starts affecting the bone there will be immense pain, one of the reasons cancer should be treated early.

Along with the psychological trauma affecting the patient, the debilitating pain may cause depression and despair. The pain has to be addressed first. Once the patient is pain-free it is easier to instil the belief that they can fight and win. To that end, the right tablets, medicines, ointments or patches are administered.
